mike had a great time skyping in to the annual Mike Zegarski Golf Tournament fundraiser this past Saturday in ohio.  i had missed out on our earlier skype experience with Dayton alumni in june.  it was a great way to connect with family and friends from such a distance.  mike loved seeing everyone and joking and catching up.  we had borrowed the equipment from a friend who went out of his way to set us up and gift us with the opportunity and i am thinking it might be a great thing to buy ourselves and try for holidays and keeping connected to far flung family.  although part of me simply wants to pray that mike gets willing to get out of the comfort zone of his bed and venture to ohio in person.  i believe it would be physically difficult for him but possible and so we are hoping that it will be a flesh and blood appearance by next year!  mike is getting evaluated for a new session of physical and occupational therapy at marianjoy.  it always takes a few weeks to get him his set of appointments together (too long in my opinion).  we will see what they are able to work with in this new season.  always praying for miracles great and small.  thanks for your enduring care for us.  God is good, all the time, michelle z

Hello to the Z/s….Thankful to hear that Mike is being evaluated for Marianjoy again….most thankful that you, Michelle, continue to persevere in the midst of every circumstance that you face!!!! God is good all of the time even when our lives are not as we ever imagined….Praise Him that we only have to live in today – not yesterday OR tomorrow.

Skype is very cool. We use it to stay in touch with our daughter and granddaughter who are missionaries in Bogota, Colombia. There is a real difference when you can see the person’s face and emotions. I bet your family loved this more than you and Mike because a Skype call can answer the ultimate question of “How are you, really?” I know that’s what I want to know about you guys.

    We pray for you daily…..

    Mike & Michele,

Great to hear you got to catch up with some folks in Ohio. If you go to Ohio next year let me know I will be there. I have a little distance to travel also.

You continue to be in my prayers consistently.

Yes, I’ve been taking dictation from Mike for about a month now, and it’s funny, intense, biblical, informative and very rewarding. He does call almost every day and talks for about 1/2 hour. If I’m available, great. If not, he calls back later. He speaks in the same manner as if he were speaking to his young life kids. A few days ago, he spoke about prayer and its importance along with good works. Following is his dictation for 11/17/09:

“Do you pray a lot? Do you ever ask others to pray for you? I’ve been asking people to pray for me. I wonder if they still pray for me. I know many people still do. God says “with 2 or 3 gathered together in my name I am with them”. God answers prayers, so keep praying to God. There are other verses that talk about the power of prayer. So don’t stop praying. Amen”

So there you have it. I answered Mike’s question by assuring him that you all are still keeping him in you prayers for a complete and speedy recovery.
We talked a little bit about Christmas. I asked him if there was anything in particular he would like. He said, “I want to walk”.
By the way, he is working hard, so let us pray.
We love you all, thank you so much. Smiles…..
Mom Z for all the Zegarski’s
