sometimes there is no monumental news to check in with.  i have felt life as a whirlwind the last few weeks with a backyard bible club at our house one week and a vacation bible school at church the next.  i try to imagine how it is for mike when i am so distracted and consumed and i figure he must judt get bored with the monotony he endures every day.  but he has been very patient with my whirlwind.

the last worship night we had was the first time he has ever been in the mood to do a worship night in his wheelchair so we could all sit in our family room together instead of squishing around his bed.  it was a great time to visit and enjoy people.  and we are looking forward to worship with friends (come one come all) THIS FRIDAY JULY 25 at 7 pm at our house as well.  we also got to squeeze in a quick, delightful visit with one of mike’s brother’s family this past weekend.  and in about 2 weeks i head to wyld life camp while mike’s parents and another brother keep him busy during my absence.  please pray for consistent healing and progress overall for mike.  this plateau period can seem long but can really do him a lot of good if he keeps his motivation up to practice anything every day.  he will only get quicker and sharper as he practices.  thanks and love, michelle z

and sorry i don’t comment on comments.  i often read and cry and praise God for his goodness through you.

We are always so happy to see Mike at church and await his response, be it ever-so small, but still terrific! We are leaving on vacation July 25 and will not be able to make the next worship at your house…bummer. We pray for you all and especially Mike as your journey continues. We see God so often in your words and actions, Michelle. You are an amazing blessing to Mike and your children…a legacy that will live on through them. Keep the faith and enjoy your time at camp!

    In His love,
    Kathy (for all)

Hey there…enjoyed my visit today….Mike laughed a lot as we practiced the Spanish alphabet……good exercise for those vocal cords and tongue 🙂 🙂 ! I pray that you have a wonderful trip to Wyldlife camp….Thank you for keeping us up to date on your life and journey, and for being such light in this world for us all. I am in awe of your strength as always.

What a wonderful visit we had with you all a few weeks ago–just hate that it was so brief!! Laughter is always a beatiful thing to hear, but how I felt hearing Mike laugh is difficult to express—overwhelming joy! Tell Mike that I’m praying even more for him, at his request…er…command. 🙂 Love you all so very much!

    Michelle,

What exciting updates! I’m embarassed to say that it has been a while since we last checked in with you guys. How exciting to see the amazing things God is doing in your world and in Mike’s progress.

I love you guys so much. You have both been on my heart so much lately. Thank you for being so faithful in sharing updates. I love to know what’s going on in your world and what we can pray for.

We are getting settled in with Madeleine and will hopefully be back to visit in Naperville soon. We’d love to stop by and say hello!
