i know i have not posted–my internet has been down and i can’t exactly easily leave the house to find internet access elsewhere. i am glad dan was able to update. it is certainly hard to summarize mike’s progress. My dad describes it as millimeter by millimeter and i say Amen! we love even the tiniest progress because it is still progress. but it is hard to put any of it in a way for others to relate to if they do not see mike regularly. getting mike to consistently speak aloud rather than settling into a whisper is an amazing day. people ask me about walking but in our lives that has nothing to do with today’s goals. today’s goals are practice practice practice– stretching, reaching, projecting words, enunciating, swallowing. mike has been trying a bit more which gets him off my blacklist. and he is still charming and joking just often enough to remind you it is still mike before you, sideburns and all. his mood fluctuates in a reasonable way. some days he is sad and a bit despairing, but usually he is easygoing and sane. i am tired and wish to sleep. i am going to wyld life camp with kids Aug 3-7. mike’s parents will stay with him then with a friend again administering medicine. pray for a smooth trip full of God’s providences for kids and our family.
thankfully, michelle

Thanks for wearing so many hats as you continue to model a servant heart for our Lord and Savior. May His healing touch continue to touch Mike and provide you with good rest. Love, Debbie

    Hey Michelle,

We have mised seeing you last Wednesday and will miss you again this week, as we are in Seattle for a family reunion. Jenelle and Torrey and my parents have all been asking about Mike; they send their prayers. You’ll be at camp when we get back, but we’ll definitely see you the following week and will for sure be at your house while you’re away.

We’ll be praying for God to work in kids’ lives at camp and to give you the energy to keep up with those rowdy junior highers (given what you keep up with at home, I”m sure you’re up for it!)

Praying for you as you prepare to leave for Wyldlife Camp.
My prayer is that you will be filled up and inspired by the students in the same way that you inspire so many of us.
God wants us to pray BIG prayers…so I am also praying that you will become rested. OK…Jr. High students and rest…hey…our God is a miracle maker.

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundnace for every good deed. 2 Corinthians 9:8

So good to hear your words again….The kids – Clay, Chris, Eric and Tracy – were in awe of you….so full of life as ALWAYS. I hope that you can find a little rest between the giggles and tears adn camp this weekend.

God bless you and keep you as we all continue to pray.

Keep hanging in there Michelle and kids. Mike, u are doing such a good job keeping courageous in all this. Before you know you’ll be back to joking, laughing, chattering away. And maybe in few more weeks up to running, and walking (hopefully). Meanwhile keep up
the good work. And Michelle, find or try to find the time for an 2 hour nap, you need the rest, I still won’t forget the kids or you or Mike. You guys are trying to still hang in there. God will take care of
the rest. Prayer reachs beyond medical understanding. i hope that will still be for you. Happy August.
