Sarah VanDrunen who sang at a benefit concert for our family in March is again going above and beyond in helping us.  She and my childhood church that put together the concert with her are selling a CD recording of the concert to raise additional funds.  If anyone is interested in a great CD  for just $7, please contact Shaina Terpstra at (708) 709-0100.

mike was showing some humor today during his speech therapy session trying to skew as many of the word association exercises as possible to include a reference to Coke.  and if he stumbled over a pairing and the speech guy ended up supplying the answer, mike would congratulate and cheer him on.  i couldn’t stop laughing.  he is enjoying more moments such as these and it is a pleasure.  with love, michelle

It is so fun to share these accomplishments with you through the updates. It puts a smile on my face. Thanks again for taking the time. Do you have photos posted somewhere for viewing? If you don’t, please don’t feel like you need to add to your already hectic schedule. Gwen

    Hello Micahel and Michelle:

It was so good to visit you last Friday! It was so good to meet you, Michelle and to see you again, Mike. And the kids! That is my greatest sense of litmus paper – the “acid test” for how you all are really doing. I gave you a few weeks notice, with a 3 day window and showed up after calling (and leaving messages) at about 5:00 p.m. on a Friday afternoon. I believe I was a “surprise” at the door – McKaela greeted me with her pink panther and wanted me to have it. Eli was running around with a grin from ear to ear. It was hard to hear Mike especially because the kids were having so much fun playing around in Mike’s room. Happy kids mean a happy mom and a happy mom with a husband on a slow mend from a near death experience is a mom grounded in the Lord.

Poverbs 18:22 He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord.

Mike, you have received favor from the Lord. Thanks you , Michelle, for being a Godly wife and mother! I am inspired. I am praying for complete healing! Keep pushing hard, Mike. You are a fighter! As Michelle says, you are a visionary. Envision complete healing! Keep pushing for it! We are all pushing with you!

    Bless you all!

    Steve

The kids and I enjoyed visiting with you yesterday and are so proud of you!!! Keep working hard and maybe that trach will be able to come out!!

Michelle, as always thank you for sharing your family with us and thank you for showing me what a woman of faith really looks like.
Looking forward to our “hang out” time in the future.

    Love always,
    Karin Rodriguez
