Saturday night’s benefit concert for Mike and our family was beyond words.  Sarah VanDrunen’s immense talents (as well as her musicians) were only topped by God himself showing up and gracing us with his presence.  I had a glimpse of heaven as I witnessed the parade of family, friends, new acquaintances and old influences and every part of the body of Christ.  God is bigger than i have the capacity to imagine.  and the miracle of those who came to encourage and support was matched by such incredible generosity in a free will offering and ticket sales totaling $17,000!  all i could think is that God apparently enjoys spoiling us.                          still beyond words, michelle

Praise God for His provisions! Wish we could have been there.

What a wonderful result of everyone’s love for you guys!! I was listening to a song that said “his grace is sufficient for me” and while I sang along to the words, it dawned on me that you and mike live this every day. I’ve learned so much from the two of you – not just in this past year, but over the thirteen years that I’ve been blessed to have the two of you in my life. Thank you for sharing your lives with me – through the good days and the tough days. Please know that even when I don’t write, checking in with the two of you through this web site and sending love and prayers your way has become as regular as my morning stretch. It’s such a blesing!!

Zegarskis’-please know that you remain loved and prayed over. Not a day goes by that I do not check this site for news of your precious family. As spring emerges all around us I have been praying that Mike emerges with speech, movement in this arms and legs, a miraculous strength throughout his body. I trust that Don is still with you and able to massage Mike’s body. It seems that perhaps the plate surgery may be coming up since no infections, etc. My prayer also has been for warm spring weather so that your family can take some mini-field trips together to enjoy God’s creation that can be so magnificient this time of year. With love and admiration, Debbie

We begin this comment with a resounding thank you to all of you who have been so generous with your prayers. Your messages to our Father have been favorably received. Michelle’s message of March 19th gave a very clear picture of our entire family’s prayer requests.

As a bit of an update, Mike’s dad and his brother Dan went to see Mike and Michelle on Sunday (back on Monday). They reported that Mike is still in pain but relieved by any number of trials and errors. He did speak more clearly and more than previously. Praise God for blessings.

Specifically, please pray that Mike continues to remain free of infection and fever. This is vital in order that he is a candidate for the surgery to place the plate in his head.

As always, please pray for Michelle, McKaela, and Eli that they remain healthy and strong and find joy throughout each day.

Father, we pray you will keep Mike free of infection and fever and free of pain. In His name we pray.

    Fred and Jill

Michelle, Dan, Fred, Jill (whoever knows): What timeframe are the doctors currently aiming for regarding the plate surgery?

A hello to you, Michelle….and do hope to talk and catch up with you soon. It sounds redundant, I know, but it comes from my heart…..Your family is on my mind every day as I work with these high school kids at North….I remember how much impact you have had and continue to have with these precious teenagers, who certainly have their ways of testing us! I do hope you are continuing to get a little breathing room during the day when your helper is taking good care of Mike…..

    Hey Michelle and Z-friends:

Like many others we continue to pray for you daily. Also, I hope many will sign up for the YL Golf Marathon. I was almost going to punk out last year, but couldn’t when Mike’s situation came up. This year I feel even more strongly that Young Life needs and deserves our support. So I’ll be there and hope to see loads of old and new golfers.

    In Him,
