2/1/07 Prayer Request

Mike has had a fever for a day or so, which has subsided for the most part, but not entirely.  He is holding a little under 101, but had been up to 105 before ibuprofen and tylenol apparently worked to bring it down.  Of course, we are hoping and praying that a hospital stay will not become necessary.  Please pray over this situation.

It is important that the use of antibiotics to combat infection be limited, as Mike’s doctors have begun to see some of these drugs becoming less and less effective (in turn, limiting their treatment options).  Please pray for strength and PROGRESS, in order that Mike will become less and less dependent on the effectiveness of the antibiotics altogether, and in order that therapy can be reintroduced.

Thanks and God bless you.

God, please strengthen Mike’s body and purge him of infection. Give him and Michelle extra energy to press through this winter season. We know how precious they are in Your sight. So we ask for a spectacular healing. In Jesus’ name we humbly ask……..

I am continually drawn to this website to find news about a man and his family I have never met, but have been praying for and asking others to pray for, since all of this began last year. Heather Z is a dear friend of mine from college. I just want you to know that I am always amazed and inspired by your heart and your faith. To God be the GLORY. I am so thankful that he has granted you peace and continually sustains you. I continue to pray for Mike’s healing and recovery. I also pray that you would be reenergized and not dejected by slow and sometimes virtually no progress. Rest in him that cares for you! I have children the age of yours and I cannot imagine this, and yet I know in my life, God has used me and grown me most in times of trial and heartache. He must have AMAZING things in store for you all. I will continue to check and continue to pray. Thank you so much for ministering to me through your journey.
    Singing HIS Praises,
    Carrie Beth

I pray for the continued touch of the Great Healer’s hand upon Mike. Lord, for your glory, would you please remove the infection from Mike’s body and bring him to wholeness? Thank you for sustaining Michelle and the children. Continue to help them feel your presence and care. All this we ask in humble submission to your sovereign power…Amen.
