mike is hanging in there.  he is looking good and is alert.  the pain comes and goes but can be counted on right around 6 am and 11 pm generally so pray for some relief right around then if you are up.  i am getting away for the weekend on the leader & staff development retreat for chicagoland young life.  my parents have my (sick) kids and mike’s brother Tom and family (from ohio) are staying with him while i am gone.  pray that everyone’s time would be a refreshment, a joy.  i have the opportunity to share on saturday night on the weekend–please pray that God would have his way with my words.  i sometimes wish i had stolen more time away to work on what i am going to say but i guess God can do what he wants with what i’ve got.  amen and thanks!  michelle

Your last sentance says it all. “He already has.”
    You will do great.

    Hey Michelle:

It is 6:18 p.m. on Saturday. I assume you are not far from speaking to the YL leadership. I am praying for you right now. I am asking God to give you the peace that He promises and the peace you have displayed, daily, since last March. I am praying that He would give you His words to say, but in your way! That is an amazing way, I might add. I am also praying for those who will be hearing you that they will sense what all of us sense that follow you and mike on this site: That to know the Father, we get to know the Son; and to get to know the Son, we get to know those who are extra-special, who have been given extra -special responsibilities, that to us seem like extra-special burdens and to you they seem a extra-special blessings. To get to know the Son, we need to hear His words, through you, words wispered to you amidst the pain, amidst the joy of no fever, amidst the joy of little girls making their daddy smile, a daddy that can’t dance with her yet. Words wispered to one who has a partner who can’t reciprocate as well as he would like, but wispered to one whom as a partner, gives and gives and gives and gives……We want to hear this one – we need to hear this one who reflects the love and light of Christ like a perfectly polished mirror. It is not your light, but His. But woman, how you do reflect it.

My love to you and Mike and the kids. Thanks for blessing the YL family tonight. And thanks for blessings us who follow this site every day!

I have taken a new job at Miracle Ranch, a camp near Seattle, WA. So I am farther away but as close as your website.

Praying for you, Michelle… and praying that the weekend was a time of refreshment for you. A time that you may have been encouraged by others as much as you have been an encouragement to those of us witnessing your servants heart daily. Continuing to keep you in prayer.

I haven’t met you or Mike but through a friend have been praying regularly throughout the year. I’m a widow with three kids and going back to school for Physical Therapist Assistant – I woke up early this am to study and found all I could think about was Mike – he’s often on my mind early in the morning which has got to be God cause I have a million things to think about and so I read your e-mail this morning and found that Mike especially needs prayer in the morning and I just kept thinking – God is just so amazing, isn’t he that he has Mike covered!

I pray that your “talk” went well. I am sure it did. Continued prayers for all of you. Words do not convey what I want to say. I think of all of you so often. I watch my youngest 2 kids and think of yours since they are about the same age. I pray that you have the strength to get through each day. I pray that Mike is able to see and hear and feel those 2 wonderful children each day. I pray for good health for all of you, but most of all I pray that you continue to let God be in control and listen to Him. He is carrying you and loves you so much! God Bless you!!

    Love and prayers,

Can’t wait to hear how the weekend went….I am sure that it was a sweet respite for you being with the Younglife staff…a well deserved step away from the responsiblities you so lovingly carry every day….

I pray that the time was replenishing for you and that Don is working out well…
