every day–ups and downs.  i believe, hope, pray that we get a new daytime caregiver tomorrow.  mike is awake/alert off and on.  when awake he sometimes struggles with some intense pain which likely has to do with muscle spasms.  we hope to avoid sedating him with pain relievers since we are aiming to allow mike to be awake.  but it is agony–for him and for anyone witnessing.  some days are easier than others.  pray for the pain, for the perseverance.  i was blessed with some extra perspective today (thank you) from Dr Seuss’ “one fish two fish red fish blue fish”…

and now good night.  it is time to sleep.  so we will sleep with our pet Zeep.  Today is gone.  today was fun.  tomorrow is another one.  every day, from here to there, funny things are everywhere.

thank god for the gifts he fills each day with, even the hardest days.  amen

I will pray for Mike’s pain, that it may be lessened. Prayers for good sleep, for kids who have so much energy you don’t know what to do with it (especially in this weather and no snow!). Every day is a blessing and you continually remind me of that. Take care my friend. We love you, God loves you and is watching every move you make and He is not going to let you fall.

    Love and prayers,

P.S. Please say hi to Mike and tell him I miss him and our conversations. I hope to come by sometime and bug him. Just waiting for a time when I am by myself (which is not too often).

Thinking of you all on this day. We love you guys and are praying for renewed strength and the pain to dissipate and for the care giver to come ASAP. Also, praying for courage and wisdom in the days ahead. There is so much good to come. God is good and capable.

MIchelle-please know that you remain greatly cared for and prayed over by so many across the country. Mike, and the children as well. Your introduction of Dr. Seuss is such a wonderful reminder that daily life goes on in all that you are going through. In BSF we have just studied Romans 8:28-31 in depth. You are living out your faith before us, bringing such confidence and hope to the lives of others-you are becoming like Christ as is God’s goal for each of us. The fervent prayer remains for MIke’s restoration to health and vitality. The immediate prayer is for the perfect caregiver to come into your family and for Mke’s pain to be lessened and disappear. Also for Mike’s body temp to regulate properly and not send him back to hospital. And for you peace, rest and strength to meet the needs of your family and yourself.
    Love and prayers, Debbie

    Hey Michelle and Mike:

Sorry that I have been off-line, too. I have moved to Seattle to work with CRISTA ministries with there two camps. God is gracious to provide this great job – but we are even farther from Chicago. My daughter is getting married there in August – so i will be there soon (sort-of).

I continue to pray for you all. For the pain, especially and for dancing!
