Mike will transfer to Manor Care in Naperville on Friday.  This is a great option, since it will allow Mike to be close to Michelle and the kids, and to all of his friends in Naperville.  Obviously, he will be watched closely for signs that he could be ready to return to physical therapy.  We will post information about visiting, etc., as soon as possible.  Please continue to visit and encourage Mike regularly, as his days may be (for now) less active with therapy.

Got to see Mike tonight with a couple friends. He was definitely paying attention to us when we were talking which was great to see. He opened both of his eyes and turned his head toward us when we walked in the room, and even moved his right arm at one point. I’m so glad I finally got the chance to see him, just to be able to tell him that he’s in our prayers and that all of us are supporting him. You can tell in his eyes that he’s fighting hard, which is nothing less than I would expect from him. Hopefully more and more people will get to visit him as he transfers to Naperville. God bless.

What wonderful news! Certainly God is placing Mike in the best care as He continues to heal. I can’t wait to have a chance to visit Mike again and share my hope and prayers for him in person. To Michelle and the entire Zegarski Family: your amazing faith is a testiment to God’s love and your willingness to let Him work on your lives. My prayer for you is continued strength, encouragement, and total trust in our amazing Lord!

    God Bless,

Please tell Mike that he will be greatly missed Saturday evening as my son, Jim Gobrail (former YL member when Mike was the leader at Alter High School in Kettering, Ohio) is married! I know he wanted Mike to be present for this special ocassion, but all of us will continue to pray for Mike and his family. Mike certainly was an influence in Jim’s life!

    Dear Michelle –
It was so nice to be able to talk to you Saturday night as the kids were going off to Younglife camp. Your dedication to Younglife is so strong and evident. What a blessing it was to see you.
Know that we in the Mayor’s Prayer Group hold you and your family close to our hearts and deeply in prayer.
