Surgery went well…no problems.  We are praying that there are no infection complications and that the shunt needs no adjusting.  Mike is still sleeping from surgery.  Pray that he is feeling good and encouraged as he wakes up.  Naps are nice and I am going try to snag one myself right now.       — michelle

    Dear Michelle,
Tomorrow, Sat. June 3, many of us from Jill’s “club” are getting together to pray for Mike at Mass at St. Joseph Church in Crescent Springs, KY .I am looking forward to us getting together to pray for Mike and the family. It is at times like this that you feel so helpless and prayer is what gets you through it all. I have read all the comments that have been made the past few weeks and I admire your courage and strengh, and Mike perserverance to communicate with you all. Your youth and young family will be your strength to help you get through this trial.

Everything I read brings back so many memories for me. I encourage you to keep journaling. The comments from your many friends and family will be a constant reminder of this special time. The love and prayers surrounding all of you is awesome. May God bless you.

    Dear Michelle,
You don’t know me but I heard about Mike from your Aunt Gladys and your Mom, (I’m their hair-dresser). I ask about Mike every week. Your mom told me about your daughter singing to her dad; how beautiful is that. You have such strengh. I think about you and the kids often and wanted to let you know that I too, am keeping you all in my prayers. Gob Bless all of you and keep you safe and strong.

    Michelle,

I just wanted to let you know that we’re praying for you here at Timber Wolf Lake. Today’s the day that you, Mike and the kids would have been arriving here for his assignment, and your presence will definitely be missed. We heard that there is a possibility of you coming up to visit for a few days. I pray that you’re able to do that and that it will be a time of refreshment for you and the kids.

Know that we are praying here at TWL. We miss you all so much. I am looking forward to seeing you all when we get back. I am sure Mike’s progress will be amazing. As each day goes by, I am in awe of God’s hand in the midst of all of this. It has become even more obvious since being up here. We will have to go get another pedi when I return. Squeeze Mike’s hand for me, Kiss that lil’ Eli, Tell Kaela I love her toenails and give yourself a big hug from me. I love you my friend.

    Mike, Michelle & family,
I thank God on this day of Pentecost where we celebrate and remember the believers of the early church being filled with the Holy Spirit. They were able to declare the wonders of God to those who did not understand (Acts 2:11) just as you do!

I thank God for your family who shows the church of today what it is like to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Just as Barnabus made such a difference in Antioch, (Acts 11:21 The Lord’s hand was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord. 24 He was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a great number of people were brought to the Lord.) I can see you and your family not only making a difference in Naperville & Aurora with YoungLife but all over the nation with this website and your desire to be filled with faith and the Holy Spirit.

I thank God for His amazing gift. (Luke 11:13 – Jesus said, If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!) Just ask!

I thank God for the hope we all have. (Romans 5:5 And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.)

I thank God for continuing to give you hope, joy and peace. (Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.)

I thank God that He wants everyone to believe. (Hebrews 3:7 & 15 So, as the Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.”)

I thank God that He gave us His Holy Spirit to be our counselor and guide. (Jude 20 But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. 21 Keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.)

May you be encouraged and enjoy His overflowing power and presence today!
