This morning at 2:00 am, Mike was transferred back to Edward for an immediate CT scan which revealed more fluid build-up in his head.  Tomorrow morning, he will undergo surgery which will remove that fluid, and which will provide for the removal of any fluid which may collect in the future.  He has been re-admitted to the ICU, and it is foreseeable that he will remain there, following surgery, for some additional time.

Please pray that we will see the final resolution of this fluid problem.  It is quite probable that the fluid has impeded Mike's responsiveness; and that, once the matter is resolved, Mike could show better signs of progress than any we have yet seen.  Pray that this will be the case, as this will, in part, determine his rehab placement (which remains an issue).

There may be no more information available to us today for a further update.  (Of course, if there is, then we'll pass it on.)  Pray hard.

“There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off” Proverbs 23:18

During my Psalms and Wisdom Books class I came across this verse and immediately thought of you all. Mike, Michelle, and kids-you are continually in my thoughts and prayers.

We will keep all of you in our prayers. Especially the surgeons and all medical staff involved in his current situation. Praise God for people with the gifts to help in this profession. God Bless you all.

    Love and prayers,

Lord Jesus, hold Mike in your hands as he undergoes surgery again tomorrow. Please be with the dr’s and surgeons and may this fluid leave his brain as we hope. May we truly see miracles after this surgery in his responsiveness.

Hope you all are hanging in there. May God’s peace rest in your hearts as never before.

We are continually praying for all of you and continue to update our friends so that they may bring you before the throne of God. May the peace of God which transcends all understanding guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

God, please watch over Mike today and guide the Physicians as they perform surgery to remove the fluid from Mike’s brain. And help the family as they stand by waiting for good news. You have kept Mike strong through all of this and we pray that he continues to get stronger each day.

Linda and I are praying for successful surgery for Mike and encouragement for his family. I know that after my mother’s surgery for her aneurism she was not very alert or responsive. The doctors did surgery to relieve the pressure and inserted a shunt. Within a day or so she was almost her old self. We pray that Mike may have even better results, knowing that God is in control. May God be glorified and protect His servant Mike. Jim & Linda Doyle
