(Sorry for the delay with this post.)

Mike's CT scan earlier today showed that the accumulation of fluid in his head was essentially unchanged from Friday's result.  Some further evaluation of the scans may be necessary, and it was suggested that another scan may be performed within the next couple of days.  This situation would appear to represent the last obstacle to a transfer.  Mike's doctors very much wish to avoid the need for a surgical remedy of this collection of fluid.  Let's see if we can help them out by really focusing our prayer on this issue.

It is good to report that Mike did respond to verbal requests today by squeezing and releasing his hands.  It may be that we're seeing some more consistency here.  I'll try to remember to ask specifically if this is so, and report back.

We will continue to pray for Mike, the family, and you, Michelle (have also asked our small group to pray). It is certainly clear that God our Healer is in control. You are an inspiration in how you allow God to sustain you through His Word. I thought of you today when I was reading in Hebrews 1:3 “The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.” Sustaining all things–Mike’s body, his mind, your strength.
When my mother-in-law and best friend was struggling through breast cancer God gave me these words from Hebrews 13:5-7. “‘Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.’ So we say with confidence, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid…Remember [your friends, leaders, Mike] who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” The power that raised Jesus from the dead is the power that can heal Mike! God’s blessings to you.

“I’m Loved By God” “You are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned…For I am the Lord, your God…you are precious and honored in My sight, and…I love You” Isaiah 43: 1-4.
You are very much on my mind and in my heart these days. Your family has reinforced my faith in Godliness and the power of goodness. Please know our continued prayers are with you and your loved ones…Peace be with you. Jim and Sandy Briggs

I just came back from seeing you with Annie. Keep fighting! I know you heard us because when I said McKaela and Eli I saw reaction to their names. They need you! What an amazing family you have. What amazing friends, leaders, staff and prayer warriors you have in your life! God has used you in ways you never knew. They say you never know how you have touched someone on earth until you see them in heaven. Well I have seen what you and God have done in people’s lives and I am so grateful God gave us you.

How Great is our God! One of my favorite artists, Chris Tomlin, sings this and I heard this when I was leaving the hospital. We have a great God and we do not know His plans for you. Keep remembering we have a great God and He is watching and holding you and your family always.

    Love and prayers,
