Just a quick update.  Mike is progressing nicely with his breathing, and it appears that he is becoming less and less dependent on ventilator support.  Also, a flashback to yesterday: apparently, Mike was able to show, very prominently, two fingers to one of his neurosurgeons yesterday morning — just one day after his tracheostomy!  (I had not been informed of this yesterday, or of course I would have posted it.)  Wonderful news to share, even a day late!  And what wonderful encouragement to stay faithful in prayer.

Mike is being uplifted in prayer, even now, in the middle of the night for most folks. No news, encouraging news, the prayers continue, without ceasing.

Michelle you and Mike have never met me but I am Mike’s mothers cousin in Florida. She has spoken highly of all her children, their wives, and their children. We were so sorry to hear about Mike.
All our prayers are with you, Mike, the children, Jill, Fred and the rest of the family. As we have just heard about Mike’s surgery we are glad to see we will be able to keep up with his recovery.
“God is an Awesome God” and I know with all the people praying for Mike and the family he will have a FULL recovery. Although we have never met from all the prayers and e-mails I have read Mike is truly one of God’s chosen. So many people
have been blessed knowing your family it warms my heart. We will keep you all in our daily prayers. God bless and hang in there.

    Mike and Michelle,
I am good friends and also work with your Aunt Jody Neuhaus. She has told me about Mike’s condition and I am letting you know that each and everyone of you are in my thoughts and prayers. Jody told me you have two little girls. I have two girls also. In fact, both of my girls happen to be the same age with two of Jody’s children and have gone to school with Troy and Jenna. I’m sure with your faith in God there will be signs of improvement as each day goes by. God Bless you all.

Michelle–I just heard about Mike’s condition and I want you to know that my family, men’s morning group and sr high youth group are praying for you all. This website is a real blessing to me, and very moving to see all your thoughts and the outpouring of love and prayer by others. I was going to punk out on the marathon this year, but tell Mike that if he gets his lazy butt out of bed, maybe I’ll come (just kidding-I’m in for sure). And Michelle–please don’t be bashful about discussing your financial needs with all of us. We are all there for you, your kids, and Mike.

In Christ’s rock solid name I stand,

    Matt

    Mike & Michelle,

We continue to lift you up to our loving and healing Lord. We pray that the Lord would take Mike to a place where he could heal and get the attention and help that he needs. I know the Lord is doing amazing things with Mike. Know that Ryan and I are with you every step of the way.

    Michelle-

I am so sorry to hear what has happened to mike but I am so glad he is progressively doing better. He has been in my thoughts and prayers. Everyone at school is taken aback of what happened to him and we are all praying for a full recovery. Keep strong and keep believing in good things.

    Love,

    Jackie Iacovelli
